If you have the interest, commitment and dedication, we provide all of the training for FREE. From in-house, local and county training, to state certified courses, and regional and state seminars and conferences — we offer you the opportunity to explore every avenue of emergency services and train you to be the best at what you do. In addition to formal training classes, we conduct weekly and monthly training drills to teach new skills and/or practice what you’ve learned to keep them honed and ready to use.
We protect our firefighters and EMT’s with the latest technology in fire resistant coats, pants, boots, gloves, hoods, and traditional fire helmets. All equipment is provided at NO charge to you. We only ask you to take care of the equipment as if it were your own.

As of October 2019, our fire station has a few minor upgrades to include new carpet and flooring, exterior and interior painting. Our facility includes, kitchen, large day room, large meeting/training room, bunkrooms for overnight staffing, and access to multiple computers with internet access.
We host several events throughout the year such as our annual awards banquet, Easter Egg Hunt, Family Christmas Dinner, summer picnic, Monday night dinners during months with five Mondays, summer picnic. The company as well as individual members also host cook outs and other events for members and their families
Our website, www.namozinefireems.org has recently been upgraded. Our site has updated pictures and stories of calls, community resource information, well as a Members Area with a complete library for any items of interest within the company. All members are provided a free email account.
As of May 2018, the County of Dinwiddie moved into a new state of the art public safety building located at 13850 Courthouse Road with workout facility to include exercise equipment and weights. Volunteer members have access to this facility FREE of charge.
Volunteers may have their personal property tax significantly reduced on one privately owned vehicle that is registered in their name.
